Audra Zimmerman – Zimmerman Harvesting

What strange weather we are having in Northwest Ohio. It’s been 60+ degrees here at home. Cloudy, rainy, miserable weather. I like my winters. We are normally in the 30’s this time of the year with snow. I just hope this warm weather doesn’t turn into that ugly “D” word we had back in 2012 when we had a warm winter like this.Anyway, I am trying to hurry along my spring break in 2 weeks where we head out to Breckenridge, CO and enjoy winter again with lots of skiing. Prior to that, I am sending Andy on a mission trip to Guatemala, and the dogs and I are staying home for a “girl week”.

It’s been a busy winter here in Ohio. We are selling our home and preparing for year #2 on the harvest. Praying it goes better than last year. It’s just too much work to drag the equipment back to the Midwest each fall. So, if any of my fellow HarvestHERs can suggest where might be a good place for fall harvest, please let me know. Also, if anyone is in need of help on wheat harvest, we would love to join you, as our stops are not set in stone this summer.

Everyone asks me at home “so where are you moving to?” My answer is typical of a Harvest family, but no one around here gets it, “We don’t know. Wherever God puts us”. I think most people think we are nuts!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their winter break, and I look forward to seeing many of our on harvest this summer.
