My day started early with pancakes for the crew as half of them were up, ate and out the door by 6 am.  I was also making sweet tea by 5:23 am (check the stove 🤣)

On a good day, we can go through three gallons of sweet tea and almost two gallons of unsweetened tea (for me, Myron and JD) .
I have said for years that generally, at all times, there’s up to eight gallons of something to drink in my fridge…milk, juice, teas and lemonade! Ironically, while living in the campers, we split that up between two fridges.

By 9 am, the pork loin (which was in the crock pot overnight) was ready to be shredded and put back in fridge till supper. I made and frosted a Sour Cream Chocolate Cake, as well.

The sour cream cake is a breeze and, for the fun of it, I added walnuts and the awesome little caramel bits! Live dangerously, I say!😉

Thought everything was running quite smoothly. Even the laundry was  going.

But…then had to make a trip to town.

Mostly due to the fact that my CDL license expired today. It took a little while but I located my birth certificate and proof of address  – as they are needed to retake my license picture.

Once Myron heard I was going to town, he had a couple more stops that I needed to make. All in all, it took till 3 pm to get home and unload parts and groceries.

I am thankful that I had the pork loin done and only had to throw together a salad!

Noodles are so much cooler now than when I was a kid.

I can say that because today is my birthday and while getting some welding tips, the lovely bookkeeper reminded me that she can still remember our youngest being a baby. She then asked me how old she is, I said “24” and then had to remind her, of course, I was very young when I had my children. She giggled but the guy behind the counter pretty much didn’t believe me. Today I am 45…in reverse (54)…and can’t believe my baby turns 25 at the end of this month. Time flies when you’re having fun and when you get old, you compare every noodle to the only one you knew as a kid…an elbow macaroni!

…and the license picture? Well, let’s  just say it’s a little scary!
