Affinity Ag Custom Harvesting

It was too wet to cut today, so the guys just worked on equipment and ran errands, and they were in my kitchen for supper at a decent hour! I made slow cooker broccoli beef and peach upside down cake with vanilla sauce for dessert. It was delicious but difficult to time properly since I didn’t know when they would be home.

Caleb still has 200 acres to cut around Altus, which he will hopefully finish tomorrow, then we are on to Johnson, KS (unless things change between now and then—which NEVER happens…). Anybody else headed that way soon? Rooster helped me a lot today: she put all the ingredients in the crock pot AND she rinsed all the dishes in the dishpan and put them in the drainer. I’m amazed at all that she can do for only 2 ½ years old. Brittany is always inspiring me to let her do more things on her own—and I’m so grateful, because I want her to be empowered to be independent. The day was full of the pitter patter of little feet and the rhythm of simple tasks. That’s all for today.
