06/21/16 – Durham, Oklahoma

Orgain Farms & Harvesting

We got moved to Durham, OK this morning (right on the TX/OK line). We aren’t too far from home, but far enough that moving is justified. We’re cutting on acres that we custom farm.

I’ve been trying to come up with something to write about that is new & interesting. It’s been pretty uneventful so far this season which isn’t something to complain about, but it doesn’t make for exciting posts!

So, I thought I’d show you where I keep all my stuff stashed. There are only 5 or 6 of us- Jason’s dad comes & goes as needed- so we definitely require less than other crews, but you still have to make the most of your storage. So here’s what works for us:

Mason’s room is storage central…poor kid! The top bunk holds take out boxes & lunch/snack stuff. The cabinets are for paper goods- we should be good for a while there 🙂

I stocked up on canned goods for our Durham stop. I don’t like to keep too much extra on hand because I tend to forget about it!

I try to keep plenty of meat on hand. I prefer to buy it from our favorite meat market instead of a grocery store.

Spices, baking and lots of misc.

A combine pic for good measure…right out the back window of the camper.
