Nancy Eberts – Eberts Harvesting, Inc.

Harvest is all about team and you begin to learn and rely on that when you’ve loaded, hooked and unhooked headers and moved from field to field or across state lines countless times. You always remember there is the triple digit weather, sand, wind, pests, trees and just everyday traffic to co-exist with.

It takes focus!

The reality is in the first two months of harvest, we will have moved south through four states and then every ten days or so keep moving back north.  We are on our third stop, with countless fields already harvested. So everything involved with moving and cutting are starting to get familiar for the team!

I always tell people that it isn’t as easy or as simple as it looks in magazines. Not all fields are square, not all roads are wide and you cannot do it alone or rely on others to do it for you…you’ve got to have a team!

Here are some pictures from moving and starting a field that we have cut on many times in the last seventeen years!
