I call it my “binline”. New place, new clothesline.

Nancy Eberts – Eberts Harvesting Inc.

It’s been a busy couple of days. We finished up on the white wheat pivots near Elsie, Nebraska, and gathered things up to move on Monday.

Prior to leaving Grant on Monday morning, I made a quick trip to Sidney, Nebraska to catch up with the Case IH Pro Harvest trailer and get some parts.
We sure do appreciate these guys and this service!  I wish I would have snapped a picture of Robert, Ray and Toley, but as usual, they had everything ready to go. I simply got a hug and backed up the pickup. They loaded me up and I was off! Case IH Pro Harvest and its members are not only a source for parts but their knowledge and ability to help out even with an iPhone is top-notch and truly a time saver.

Our road trip to Martin was safe and hot! Temperatures were very close to 100 degrees! It was late afternoon when we arrived and after fixing one of the machines, we were in the field and rolling with an eye on the sky. Storms went around and a few drops partially settled the dust.

The wheat is dry with very good test weights!  Yields, so far, are in the 30’s and 40’s. I spent a good part of Tuesday cleaning everything from showers to windows, the men’s camper and my oven! Laundry is complete, supper has been delivered and now I am just waiting to post tickets.

Fires are popping up everywhere. Everyone is keeping a watchful eye. Josh sent me some pictures of the one by Kadoka.

Can you see my new friend? Not afraid of me as I can get to within 6 feet of her.

For supper tonight, I made sloppy joes, mac and cheese, watermelon, pickle and caramel Rice Krispie bars. Tonight, I placed the meat in Reynolds Wrap so then they can make their sandwiches when they get their trays…helps keep things less mushy.

Gonna name her “Harvy”. You know…short for HarvestHER 😊
