Kylee DeBock of DeBock Harvesting

Today we got the opportunity to go to a harvest brunch 🍽 that one of the local churches ⛪️ held for the harvesters who are in town helping with grain harvest. We have gone the past several years and have truly enjoyed getting to meet the locals and other harvesters in attendance!

Today’s message was a great one! I am glad I was there to hear it! 🙏

The preacher talked about the “art” of harvesting. And how as long as everyone is able to work together, everything runs smoothly but as soon as there is division (or a break down) among the group, everything falls apart and it upsets the flow of the operation. Well, that goes for anything…harvest, ball teams, your job, family, churches, etc! The scripture that was referenced today was:

“Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything? But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. How strange a body would be if it had only one part! Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.””
1 Corinthians 12:14-21 NLT

Today, I got a better meaning of what this scripture really means. No one person nor no one job is more important then the other. Each person and each job is important in its own way and allows the business, team or family to thrive and run smoothly! Without that one person doing their specific job. things fall apart and no longer run smoothly.

I want to express to my family how much I love them and how thankful I am that they are in my life. Harvest crews, churches, jobs, families, sports teams all have ups and downs. But I am thankful God blessed me with the family I have because there is no one else I’d rather go through this journey with than my family.

Have a blessed Sunday!!

God bless,
Kylee DeBock
