Myron is back home!!

Today I thought about how, over the years, any separation from Myron due to harvest always seemed to last such a loonngg time!

Even though they ended good (I survived, he survived), the excitement of him coming home was always a good thing.

Back in the mid 90’s through the early 2000’s, it usually meant Christmas decorations were up and me and the kids were ready for him to be home. But as time went on and the kids grew, graduated, gained careers and married, there wasn’t ever as long of a separation for us (maybe a couple of weeks or month or so) but the thing is, though, I am even more excited to see him come home now!

That happens with love.

There is much less attention paid to my hair and house and more concern and relief the miles on the highway got him and the crew home safe!

All these years and miles and we still have a relationship that just keeps getting better and better. I am thankful.

It really is true those vows we professed all those years ago, “in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, in good times and bad” and so on. We are blessed and we couldn’t be happier with a wonderful family, super grandkids, our health and each other.

Everyone is safe, machines are getting unloaded and readied for soybeans and corn. Dylan went home for a few days and the rest of the crew is looking forward to a well deserved weekend off.

Next stop on harvest…east for soybeans and corn and I am going with him!!!!!!
