Kylee DeBock – DeBock Harvesting

Today, I am writing my entry while sitting at the field.

We are so thankful to have been blessed with more work. We had been without work for about two weeks (due to crop being too green to cut) so our truck drivers started hauling grain from the local elevators. They enjoyed that as they were getting restless just hanging out in the camper. Dillon and I took the time off to drive to neighboring towns to hang up flyers and knock on farmer’s doors. I love getting to talk to farmers. Whether they need our services or not, they are always pleasant and most drop-in visits usually end up turning into hour-long conversations. Just chit chatting about how the year has gone and where all we cut and so forth. Usually, most door to doors never work out right away. But over the years, we have noticed that some farmers end up keeping our business card and call within the next year or two. However, this year our persistence paid off, as we ended up getting some soybean work for a few new customers. Praise be to God! 🙌

The kids are still enjoying school here at Powers Lake and Colston has even started football camp. The local church that we have been attending is putting it on. So not only is Colston learning about football, they are also teaching him about Christ.

This church has welcomed our family with open arms and we have thoroughly enjoyed attending. The church was starting a women’s bible study and Jessica, a lady from the church, invited me to join them. We are reading the book called Beautiful Mess! We have had two lessons already and it has been fantastic. There have been 15-20 ladies each time and I have really enjoyed the opportunity to strengthen my walk with Christ while getting to know all these women!! I sure wish Powers Lake was closer to Oklahoma. I would move here in a heartbeat!! I just can’t say enough about this amazing community.

I hope wherever you are life is treating you well!
Happy Harvesting!!

God Bless,
Kylee DeBock
