Kylee DeBock – DeBock Harvesting

I have been home (off the harvest trail) for a little over a month now and, today, as I was on my walk, I was thinking about my weekend in Kansas with Dillon and the big boys! We have been running this business for 13 years and I wanted to take time to say THANK YOU to all my past and present “big boys”…aka hired hands.

As you have probably noticed in my posts, I say “big boys” or “little boys”. I honestly don’t like using the term “hired hand”! To me, these boys are much more than that. They become part of our family and a VITAL part of our business. Without them, we could not do what we do as effectively!

On Thursday afternoon, me and the little boys were leaving the field and I hear Riggin tell Kosta, “Bye,I love you”!! It was that moment that made me realize how blessed we have been with the kids we have chosen to work on our crew.

My boys look up to and have come to love ALL the big boys. But I can honestly say that the big boys TRULY love my kids. They ALWAYS keep a watchful eye on them when at the field, take them on walks, play soccer with them, have even let them have a sleep over in their camper staying up late watching movies together and on their days off, have asked if they can take them to the movie theater. My little boys have made so many memories on harvest, but more importantly, they have made lasting relationships!

Kosta has been with us for three years – so over half of Riggin’s life. Anatolii has been with us for four years – so all of Riggin’s life and half of Colston’s. Not only are they special to me, but they are very special to our little boys. All my “big boys” hold a special place in my heart and I just want them to know how much we APPRECIATE all their hard work!!

God bless,
Kylee
