Kathryn Doyle of R&K Doyle Harvesting

So it’s been busy!

We pushed through a few snow storms and will probably do a bit more harvesting in the spring before heading south.

Liam got his kamut crop off and all three of the oldest got started on their 4H beef projects. This week, it’s all about writing speeches for public speaking! Kierstyn and Grace love public speaking; Liam, not so much!

Grace has been playing volleyball, Kierstyn basketball and Liam is curling. The great Canadian sport! The three little boys will start skating in the New Year; in hopes of hockey in the future. We skate, as a family, about once a week and Ryan is the goal tender on a rec team in town. I am training for a marathon and being a mom.

As for the rest of our days, Ryan is getting the mechanic work done in the shop with Liam and our hired hand, Sean. With some trucking in between, the men are very busy.

I would try to cover everything…but really we are just a family. A mom, a dad and a great bunch of kids. A huge blessing from God! A family who works together, prays together, learns together, plays together. It’s definitely not always easy and hardly ever runs smoothly, but it is what God gave us. It is such an incredible blessing and gift! I am just so very thankful for our health and our family!

I wish all you HarvestHERs a wonderful New Year and I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
This year, we have learned so much and met such great people! I’m happy to put the rattlesnake bite behind us and I’m already looking forward to the next harvest!
God bless!
