  • Potatoes
  • butter
  • parmesan cheese
  • garlic salt


  1. I saw the potatoes just recently on Facebook and, of course, thought I could remember it but, nonetheless, tried it?
  2. I melted 1/2 cup butter in a 9x13 brownie pan.
  3. Spread lots of parmesan cheese and a little garlic salt over the butter.
  4. Scrubbed, then cut 4 baking potatoes in half and lay cut side in butter.
  5. I baked 40 minutes at 350°.
  6. I thought they were fantastic and a plus is they ship well to the field. And could be considered a utensil-free food!

As I write today, I have to be honest and admit my biggest accomplishment today was completely clearing and cleaning the counters in my kitchen in the house!

Besides the trip to town for groceries, putting them away and making 3 chocolate and 2 peach pies for supper, I spent what seemed like hours doing dishes by hand as I have an “out of commission” dishwasher! Ten people around the table and kitchen island, morning and night, makes for a lot of dishes.

Today we got the opportunity to go to a harvest brunch 🍽 that one of the local churches ⛪️ held for the harvesters who are in town helping with grain harvest. We have gone the past several years and have truly enjoyed getting to meet the locals and other harvesters in attendance!
