2024 Retreat Theme…Romans 15:5, “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
The 2024 HarvestHER Wellness Retreat is a time for YOU – to be lifted and uplifted. You’re always there for everyone else. This time…it’s just for you. A time to relax and build lifetime friendships.
There’s plenty of planned activities to keep you busy but this is YOUR weekend…make it what you want it to be. Bring your pillow (if you want), comfy clothes and a good book.
The weekend will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 29th with an evening of re-connection, supper and the Secret Sister reveal.
Friday, March 1 will include a visit to the headquarters of Silver Sponsor, CLAAS of North America. Details are still in the works. However, one thing is for sure, we will be treated like queens! Lunch will be provided by CLAAS.
I’m hoping to get a tour of the Baker’s Candies factory later that same afternoon.
Friday evening will be designated to Stephanie Wolcott, owner of Simply Home Sweet Home. Stephanie will provide an evening of crafting and conversation.
Saturday, March 2 – a day trip to Nebraska City. This excursion will include lunch at The Keeping Room, a visit to the Arbor Lodge Mansion & Park (quilt exhibit), the Arbor Day Farm and wine tasting. If we still have some time to kill before heading back to the Camp Joy Holling Retreat Center (approximately 4:30 pm), we’ll take in some of the downtown Nebraska City shopping.
Saturday evening…the much anticipated evening meal prepared by Holy Smokes BBQ and SPA NIGHT!!
“Spa night” will include Charles Gresham, Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Hellerwork Practitioner AND Alicia Lomeli Bruce with Small Town Serenity. The evening will also include facials and hot wax treatment for our hands and feet. Best of all? Time together!!!
We have added an additional day this year!!! Sunday will be a day of rest, relaxation and do-whatever-the-heck-you-want-to-do. I have a speaker lined up for later in the morning, Ann Greving Brown.
A little about Ann…born into a farming family, she married “farmer Brown”, lived in Europe while her husband completed his military enlistment, lives in Central Nebraska, has worked as mental health therapist in private practice, school social worker and now school counselor, fostered and adopted several kids (in addition to their own), helped her family through her husband’s stroke and recovery, sourdough extraordinaire, lover of Jesus and encourager to many.
Check-out is 1:00 pm on Monday, March 4.
The 2024 retreat will be held in a hotel-like setting with a large home “feel”. Rooms include two beds and bathroom (much like a hotel). Beds are “luck of the draw”, unless you specify wanting to room with someone in particular. Click here to learn more about the facility.

Cancellations received 30 days prior to the event will be refunded 100%. Cancellations received two weeks prior to the event will be refunded 50% of the registration. Cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the event will forfeit entire registration.

1. Be ready to go at the drop of a hat...sometimes without a lunchbox.

3. Can hold a baby, take care of a toddler and drive a tractor or combine all at the same time.
4. Must be able to cook for a crew - large or small.
