Happy (almost over) Monday!

Night moving

We are winding down day eight of our #wheatharvest2019 here in the “Handle” of Oklahoma just ahead of rain later tonight (if the storm continues on the same path.)

We got started significantly later than usual due to an unusually wet May and early June. (As many of us had. However, it seems to have worked to our advantage out here for the most part.)

So far, our harvest has gone incredibly well. The yields have been great and despite some waterlogged/ flattened down fields both crews seem to be running fairly smoothly.

As for me, I’ve been buzzing around trying to keep up with everyone and keep them all fed and making errand runs… and of course still trying to find my place in this new life-role of mine. Some days I feel like I’m killing it, other days (like today ended up being) I feel like I’m an actual one-woman circus sideshow. But, then again, that’s the story of my whole life. (HA!)

Half of us enjoying supper in the field.

Here’s to wishing each of you the happiest of harvests.
