I am the wife of a custom silage harvester (Zeller Harvesting) and mother of two, writing of my ever changing place to call home.

I found my love, after living a very routine life and spending the first twenty five years of life living in the same home. If anyone had asked my plan for life, the only part I would have gotten correct is that I wanted to be a wife and a mom.

I gave my life to Jesus at a young age, and knew He desired all of us to follow His plan for our lives. I have always wanted that in mine.
After being married to a man who travels for a living, I quickly began to long for home.

It could have been the fact I left my childhood home, family, church family, job, and A LOT of people behind who cared for me and I cared for. At first, I longed for a place to call home, and we bought a house. What woman doesn’t want a house? We began adding to our family, and planning the births to take place in the off season, so my husband wouldn’t be in the field when the baby came! I struggled to find a home church after moving so far from the one I love so much. To be truthful it had crossed my mind as to why God didn’t call my husband to Ohio, instead of me to Kansas…and beyond!

I had been serving in the ministry as an evangelist, youth pastor, and worship minister. I wondered how God would be able to use me in a greater capacity if I had been plucked up and planted in the middle of a harvest trail.

I now realize that home is not a physical place. Home is a feeling. Home is being with those you love dearly, or even those you have just met. It depends on what you allow your heart to feel, how you look at life, and how you allow God to use you in every life situation.
