Here at the farm, we are still harvesting.
It is sweatshirt weather on December 18 in North Dakota! Sunflowers are all that remain and they always need special attention. Dust, fires, etc. are all just part of sunflower harvest.
Hoping by the end of the week we can call harvest 2018 over.

Spent a few hours in the field with Mason, Andrew and JD
Brought along my new harvest gnome and wreath for a few fun pictures- mud, ice, water and a weee bit of snow!
All in an afternoon.
Seriously, at this end of the field, they were as tall as me.
When you’re a gnome, you understand short.
Nancy has been making the custom harvest journey with her husband, Myron, since 1982. In those early years of life on the road, she could be found in the combine or truck - along with any or all of their four children. These days, her time is mostly spent taking care of two campers, walking to the clothesline and back, cooking on the grill, paperwork in the office and windshield time in the cab of a pickup. Whatever it takes to “get ‘er done”! When Myron and Nancy aren't on the road, they call South Heart, North Dakota home.
