Spring Valley Farms Inc

My day was spent mostly in the kitchen preparing food for harvest meals and a church event. My youngest daughter helped me and then I had a nice surprise of my oldest daughter’s family coming out to visit in the afternoon.

After lunch, my husband went to a field to try cutting again, unfortunately the moisture was still too high. But this gave us an opportunity to spend time together as a family which is always a blessing I think!

Around 5:30 pm, he headed back to another field and was able to cut wheat until about 9:00pm. The grandkids and neighbor kids were able to take combine rides so they were thrilled!

One of his brothers came out to help drive truck and his folks weighed the trucks when they came to the farm grain complex.

Roast Beef sandwiches with peppers, onions, mushrooms, & provolone cheese, pasta salad, and watermelon was our supper meal! So far we have harvested 62 acres of the 800 we have to cut! We shall see what tomorrow brings!

The picture is of our daughter and grandkids riding combine!
