Lindsey Sterkel – Deibert Harvesting (JKD INC)

Well this morning was another one of those “I got this” moments.

Since we have a long weekend, my family always goes to the mountains for Labor Day, riding four wheelers and camping. I was bound and determined we were leaving this morning and was going to do anything to get on the road.

I got the inside packed away, the slides in and the fridge locked! Turk was nowhere to be found and all there was really left was the sewer and the jacks…I’ve seen it done plenty of times so I thought, “I got this in the bag”! Turk will be impressed! Well I pulled out the handle for the black water and all was good. I switched the hose from the fresh tank to the black one. I closed it to fill the tank like Turk does and put the wine guard away and pulled the handle back out. Let it drain, etc. I was in good shape, so far.

Turk was getting the gator ready and the fuel and generator. I thought I was good and went to unhook the poo pipe from the camper and I could have died.

I’ll just say the sucker was not empty…after dry heaving for at least five minutes, I saw Turk possibly coming my way so I hurried and unhooked the hose from the camper to, hopefully, somehow get rid of the nasty by spraying it into the ground – maybe before he saw what I had done! (He has a way worse gag reflex than I do!) I got most of it hidden by the time he came and I had to explain myself.

He was surprisingly not too bad about the whole thing, but I swore up and down there’s no way I’m doing the sewer again!!

We cleaned and scrubbed our hands and got on the road! We are headed to the Colorado/Wyoming border to take Turk (really he’s taking me lol) dry camping!! This should be a good experience!!

Chalmers was strapped in and ready to come with!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!
